Katy has been rambling around the country and working on many different farms since 2013. She has worked on small organic farms and dairies in Oregon, Washington, California, Virginia and even Italy over the years, learning from many different systems and scales. During time off the farm, she has delved deeply into long-distance walking, Zen Buddhist practice, bread baking, and surfing up and down the west coast. She’s grateful to have landed back here and to put down roots on this mossy, mysterious coastline.
Jordan caught the agrarian bug while travelling extensively through Thailand in 2017. Inspired by the simple lifestyle, joyful communities, and incredible ecological skill he witnessed, he began studying permaculture and agroecology. Jordan trained in annual vegetable production at Green Gulch Farm in the lineage of Allan Chadwick and other early organic farming pioneers. In the seasons since, he has worked to steadily improve his craft and refine his understanding of the astoundingly complex natural processes that make good soil, grow nutritious produce, and sustain healthy ecosystems on the farm and beyond.
